Colombo airport to Kalpitiya taxi

Kalpitiya is a long, narrow peninsula on the north-west coast, known for kitesurfing, dolphin trips and quiet lagoon beaches. It is a favourite with travellers who want wind, water and very few crowds.
The road runs north through Negombo and Puttalam, then out along the peninsula, and the last stretch is slower than the map suggests. Tell us the name of your camp or guesthouse when you book, as some sit down sandy lanes and the driver will confirm the best approach.
