Southern Province

Ahangama is a stretch of the south coast between Weligama and Galle, known for surf breaks, quiet bays and a growing number of cafes and boutique stays. It is also a place where traditional stilt fishing is still practised.

Surfers use several breaks along the shore, and the beaches are wide and uncrowded outside the high season. Yoga studios and cafes line the main road, and Galle and Mirissa are both a short drive away.
