Hiriketiya is a small horseshoe-shaped bay near Dickwella, with a green headland, clear water and a relaxed surf-town feel. It is one of the prettiest and most popular beaches on the south coast.
Surf schools run lessons on the gentle waves, and cafes and guesthouses are tucked up the slope behind the sand. The bay is small, so it can be busy in the high season, and early mornings are quietest.
