Tangalle is a quiet stretch of the south coast with long, empty beaches, small coves and secluded villas. It suits travellers who want space and peace rather than nightlife, and it sits between the busier beaches to the west and the safari country to the east.
Rekawa beach, a short drive away, is a place where turtles come ashore to nest, and visits are made with a guide and no lights. The Hummanaya blowhole, the rock temples at Mulkirigala and boat trips on the lagoon are other easy outings.

Which airport is closer to Tangalle?
Mattala (HRI) is considerably nearer, but flight choice is limited. Colombo suits most itineraries, and we serve both.
